Pastor Edwin and Ruth Anne Bontreger moved to the Rensselaer area in 1974 and was the Pastor of a small rural Church until the summer of 1985. Over these years they had many troubled teenagers and adults live in their home. The Lord gave them a lot of hands on training in dealing with broken lives of His children. Their passion for people to experience the wholeness of Jesus and live in peace and joy has become more than a full-time job, it is a lifestyle ministry.
The Fellowship of Living Hope has a reputation of being a spiritual hospital where lives are healed and transformed by the Power of God, by the Blood of Jesus, and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. As people are healed, they are trained to bring healing to others. Healed lives and healed homes bring us to successful peaceful living that the Glory of God can be made known to the world.
